A notable career history in the private sector within world leading organisations including Pfizer, Dell and Dun & Bradstreet. 10 years’ international experience in Canada with Blackberry & ATS as well as successfully creating and selling my own $0.5m/yr business. Since my return to the UK my expertise has broadened to include working in the Private Equity sector.

– 10.2% 3-year compound sales growth averaging 105% of related annual plans at Dun & Bradstreet
– Drove UK revenue growth >20% in a 3% growth market at Magicard by radically changing the distribution network.
– Improved rep efficiency 61% and profitability 30% at Magicard (Global ID Printer business).
– Grew sales 400% as owner of Great British Bake to $500k/yr. Great British Bake was my own company specialising in British Baked goods, located in Ontario, Canada.
– Reduced $400m from operating costs by changing product sourcing strategy and headcount at Blackberry.
– Grew EMEA revenue 11% in a flat market by designing and implementing a global channel programme at Magicard.
– Prevented financial penalties of between $2m and $20m by the introduction of a global pricing system at Blackberry.
– Maximised upfront revenue to 60% of a deals value from 30% previously, whilst adhering to IFRS15 / ASC 606 standards at D&B.
– Saved $10m in closure costs and 50 jobs by leading ATS’s (Global tooling business) divestment of a loss-making overseas division to a Chinese buyer.
2/ Provide strong leadership, large team and remote management
– Led a multi-functional global team of 30 at Magicard
– Leading team of 13 at Dun & Bradstreet
– Worldwide co-ordination of $20m projects at ATS.
– Achieved an outstanding 9 out of 10 Net Promoter Score (NPS) in a 360 degree feedback survey of over 40 respondents including manager, team, peers, business partners and customers.
– Decisive in times of trouble reducing headcount 50% from 10 to 5 at Blackberry with an annualised saving of $0.5m.
– Responsible for the Financial Due Diligence of a $100m sector for Pfizer’s acquisition of Warner Lambert.
– Established and hired Regional Business Analysts to support new regional structure in UK for Pfizer.
– Hired a team of 5, providing mentoring and training at Great British Bake.
3/ Negotiate from the front and lead by example
– Creatively avoided $20m contractual penalty, accelerated $3m cash flow by 7 years.
– Negotiating with external partners driving $250m of complex 5/10-year contracts.
– A leader in the food truck movement to gain increased access to locations through presentations at city council meetings, appearances on live TV and interviews in the newspapers at Great British Bake.
– Presented to Board members at Magicard, ATS and Pfizer.
– Co-ordinate $2m/yr multi-year deal proposals including face to face customer and legal negotiations to ensure successful closure at D&B.
– Replaced weak 1 page contracts with robust 3 to 5 year contracts that meant 80% of Magicard revenue was now covered and set the business up for a successful sale.
– Led a key company initiative called Sustainable High Performance (SHP), inspiring people to adopt the principles of Movement, Recovery, Mindset and Nutrition and bring their best self to work and home life.
– Negotiated several co-promotions and secured large orders with UK, local and global companies including Google, Microsoft, Fever Tree, Belvoir, pastry makers and locally sourced farm meat providers.
4/ Design and successfully execute transformational projects
– Designed, built, and rolled out Magicard’s first Channel Program to customers worldwide, including elements for pricing, rebate scheme, new product availability, marketing, and technical support.
– Built a global pricing system to enable optimal pricing and profit for the 40m unit/yr Handset business at Blackberry.
– Finance lead in $40m partner selection and strategic market set-up.
– Owned and located a centralised European project successfully saving sales reps >10% time driving an equivalent revenue growth at Dell.
